All the latest Workplace product announcements and feature releases.


This month, we’re excited to share the following Workplace updates - including the much anticipated MAKU permissions scope, as well as other features such as the ability to create personalized quick links in the Knowledge Library, increased participant limit in Work Chat threads, plus updates to the API enabling customers to remove profile fields and expose account deactivation dates. This release also includes more email controls for admins and a new look for the admin panel.
Create personalized quick links

Create personalized quick links

Knowledge Library admins can now create multiple quick links collections with different audience types. This will improve the quick links personalization for customers as they will have more relevant links presented to them, grouped in an easy way to access. Available on desktop.
Increased participant limit in Work Chat

Increased participant limit in Work Chat

We’ve increased the maximum number of participants allowed in a Work Chat thread from 250 to 500. Work Chat end users can now add up to 500 participants to chat threads. Available on desktop and mobile (Android/iOS).
Ability to scope MAKU permissions

Ability to scope MAKU permissions

System admins can now grant group admins the ability to market their own group's content as important. This will allow companies to take better advantage of MAKU and allow key group admins to boost relevant content for employees. Available on desktop.

More email controls for Admins

More email controls for Admins

Admins can now control the frequency of 'engagement' emails sent per day, between 3 to 5, for all the users in their Workplace instance. Available on desktop.

A Fresh admin panel

We’ve given the mobile admin panel a fresh look to make it more consistent with the rest of the app and have also addressed admin panel bugs that were causing the mobile apps to crash. Available on mobile (Android/iOS).
Exposing deactivated date

Exposing deactivated date

Users can now retrieve their account deactivation date through the member API. Available on desktop and mobile (Android/iOS).
Remove profile fields

Remove profile fields

Admins can now use the remove profile information API to remove data from a deactivated profile. This will keep the deactivated users’ posts, comments, and messages, but remove their name and other profile fields. Available on desktop and mobile (Android/iOS).
